A few weeks ago, a gentleman came into the shop to have his rifle repaired. During our chat, he popped back out to his car to grab his fill probe. When he returned, he hauled his entire air bottle onto the counter—along with a massive, incredibly heavy wooden contraption he had built just to keep the bottle from tipping over.

I had to ask him about the sheer weight of his DIY setup. He admitted it was heavy and cumbersome, but told me it was absolutely necessary to stop his bottle from rolling around the boot of his car on the way to the range. He also mentioned how it helped stabilise the bottle on the bench, making it easier to fill his rifle without having to constantly get up.

It immediately got me thinking. I’ve experienced this problem in the past, but there had to be a smarter, lighter way to fix it.

Two Perfect Sizes: The stands are available in a Small size (designed for 3-litre bottles) and a Medium size (built for 5-litre and 7-litre bottles—including the generic stubby dimensions).
